Smile Makeover

Our smile makeover procedure is a treatment that is customized to meet your specific cosmetic dentistry needs. We understand no two mouths are alike and by sculpting a unique treatment plan for each of our patients, we are able to address diverse concerns including the need for restorative foundations, concealing imperfections and strengthening compromised teeth. Regardless of your treatment, the end result is consistent: a smile each of our patients is extremely happy with.

Porcelain Veneers

We can use porcelain veneers to conceal a variety of dental imperfections, from chips and cracks, to stains and slight misalignments. These ultra thin shells of porcelain are bonded to the front surface of a tooth and look extremely natural. If you are interested in this cosmetic dentistry option, please visit our porcelain veneers page for details.

We are proud to offer our patients the Invisalign® orthodontics system, a clear alternative to braces. The system uses a series of clear plastic aligners, instead of metal wires and brackets, to gradually move the teeth into alignment. Visit our Invisalign® page for more information about this revolutionary orthodontic treatment option.

Teeth Whitening

Professional teeth whitening treatments can dramatically improve the appearance of your smile. At our practice, we offer the Opalescence® in-office and take-home systems and the Day White® take-home kit. To learn more about our whitening options, please visit our teeth whitening page.

Dental Crowns

When a tooth becomes broken, worn down, or discolored, a dental crown can restore its appearance. Dental crowns cover the entire surface of a tooth, protecting it from further damage.

To place a dental crown, Dr. Sultana or Dr. Gruber will first examine the existing tooth and remove any decay, and then make an impression of the area. This impression will be used by our dental laboratory to craft a crown, customized to fit the prepared tooth. A temporary crown will be attached to your tooth while the new crown is being manufactured. Once the new crown is ready, Dr. Sultana or Dr. Gruber will check its fit and color against your existing teeth to ensure a natural feel and appearance. The crown is then cemented to the tooth, where it will remain in place for years with proper maintenance.

In addition to the cosmetic dentistry uses for dental crowns, they can also be used to restore and protect damaged teeth. You can learn more about the restorative benefits of dental crowns by visiting our restorative dentistry page.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges can restore the smiles of those who are missing teeth. Dental bridges are composed of a replacement tooth or teeth supported by two dental crowns, which are attached to the remaining natural teeth on either side of a gap. Dr. Sultana or Dr. Gruber will first prepare each tooth adjacent to the gap and make impressions of the teeth to use in constructing the crowns. A temporary bridge is placed to protect the teeth until the permanent bridge is made. Before cementing the bridge to teeth, Dr. Sultana or Dr. Gruber will check and adjust the bridge so that it fits properly and appears natural.

In addition to addressing the obvious cosmetic issues associated with missing teeth, dental bridges can also help correct speaking and chewing problems. Visit our restorative dentistry page to learn more about how dental bridges can restore function to your mouth.
